In 2004, Maestro Lappin was requested to perform for a week at the Royal Room, an intimate cabaret room in the Colony Hotel, Palm Beach. Featured on piano, he played with the rhythm section of the Pops and invited legendary Bucky Pizzarelli to join them on guitar. He incorporated some vocals into every performance. The encouragment from the audience, family and friends was overwhelming. Following his return engagement to the Royal Room in 2005, Maestro Lappin decided to record a CD; thus I'll Be Seeing You was born.
