Palm Beach Pops Music & You In-School Youth Education Program

Since its inception in 1998, nearly 90,000 students at underserved schools in Palm Beach County have experienced the program.  Students have the opportunity to participate in the Music & You Education Program at NO COST to the students, parents, teachers, schools or county. This program is developed for 2nd thru 5th grade students, incorporating hands-on experience with real musical instruments, workbooks and professional musicians.

The comprehensive music program, benchmarked to Florida Sunshine State Standards, correlates music with social studies, literature, character education, science and math to enhance major academic disciplines.

Teachers are provided a curriculum guide with information to prepare students for weekly sessions. The culmination of the series is a live concert featuring all the sections of the Pops orchestra together along with Maestro Bob Lappin. One student from each school will be invited to participate on stage.
